Technician Quality Assurance

As Australia’s strategic high performance sport agency, the AIS is responsible for leading and enabling a high performance system that supports Australian athletes to achieve podium success.The Performance Networks and Partnerships Branch is responsible for leading engagement in operationalising agreed strategic plans including coordination and monitoring of service delivery through the National Institute Network (NIN) and National Sporting Organisations (NSOs).You will lead the technical and equipment requirements of the AIS Professional Networks (Sports Science and Sports Medicine) Quality Assurance Program. Your primary focus will be to support the High Performance (HP) Sport System (National Institute Network and NSOs) to meet quality assurance requirements and drive innovation in best practice standards relating to testing equipment.To be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualifications (Engineering, Science or equivalent) and demonstrated experience in management, project management, science or related field.Experience with electronics and mechanical design, fabrication and repair.Demonstrated experience in calibrating a range of equipment and an excellent understanding of equipment accuracy and tolerances.Experience in a Sports Science testing laboratory or closely related facility.Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform staff to support decision making. Position is based in Canberra and will be available until 18 December 2020.Salary range = $88,434 - $101,959 per annum plus superannuation.Employment benefits include priority onsite Childcare, free parking facilities and use of on-site gymnasium.Applications close 5.00pm AEDT 1 March 2019 (no late applications will be accepted).Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.Job Description Australia - ACT ACT
