The AIS Division is responsible for leading and enabling a united high performance system that supports Australian athletes to achieve podium success.AIS Operations will deliver targeted High Performance programs that provide unique, impactful and competitive advantage services across the Canberra Campus and European Training Centre (ETC). The programs will provide a multi-disciplinary approach targeting pre-elite athletes (particularly induction and confirmation), complex athlete injury rehabilitation, the altitude house and support for National Sporting Organisation camps.Within the High Performance facilities team you will support the AIS High Performance Centre (HPC) Manager to ensure the HPC Facilities, which include laboratories, altitude house and recovery centre, are maintained and operating at world best standards to support the AIS campus operations. You will have demonstrated technical skills in being able provide electrical and mechanical maintenance that meets the quality assurance standards within the high performance laboratories and across their equipment.We are looking for a candidate who possesses the following:Tertiary qualifications or demonstrated experience in technology management, project management, science or related area.Experience with electronics, software, mechanical design, fabrication and repair.Experience in a Sport Science (e.g. Biomechanics or Physiology) testing laboratory or closely related facility.Minimum 3 years’ experience in laboratory supportPosition is based in Canberra and will be available as a fixed term contract until 18 December 2022.Salary range = $75,345 - $87,019 per annum + up to 15.4% superannuation.Employment benefits include priority access to onsite Childcare placements, free parking facilities and use of on-site gymnasium.Applications close 5.00pm AEST Tuesday 23 April 2019 (no late applications will be accepted).Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.Job Description
