The Information, Communication & Technology (ICT) section is within the Business Operations Branch of the Australian Sports Commission (ASC). The section delivers a range of strategic and advisory services relating to ICT to the ASC and the wider sport community through its internal capabilities. The section also coordinates ICT support services to the ASC through a number of internal and external capabilities and arrangements. As the ASC’s Senior System Engineer you will design, construct, integrate, test and maintain enterprise systems and infrastructure in support of the organisation strategy and business requirements. You will be an experienced leader responsible for managing a team of System Administrators in providing quality ICT support services. To be successful in this role, you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or related discipline and/or industry based qualifications.6+ years of demonstrated experience in managing, supporting and architecting ICT systems leveraging the following technologies:Microsoft desktop and server based platforms (SCCM), as well as Linux based server platformsAuthentication, Authorisation, and Identity management technologies including Active Directory, Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM) and Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS);Virtualisation and remote access technologies; in particular VMWare, Citrix and Mobile Device Management (Airwatch);Messaging and communications technologies including Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Skype for Business Lync.Centralised database technologies including Microsoft SQL ServerStorage and backup technologiesAbility to provide technical system solutions, determine design direction and provide hardware recommendations for complex technical issuesUnderstanding of current technologies and ability to map to future/emerging technologies/industry trends and organisational outcomes.Demonstrated record of providing leadership and management to achieve high personal and team performance and meet organisational and business objectives.ITIL Foundation Certification is desirable.Position is based in Canberra.Salary range = $104,040 - $122,767 per annum plus superannuation.Employment benefits include free parking facilities and use of on-site gymnasium.Applications close 5.00pm AEDT Friday, 16 March 2018 (no late applications will be accepted).Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia.Application for EmploymentJob Description
