The AIS is responsible for leading and enabling a united high performance system that supports Australian athletes to achieve podium success. The Athlete Wellbeing and Engagement (AW&E) Branch leads the system’s development and delivery of services designed to improve an athletes’ ability to effectively navigate the critical transition points throughout and beyond their sporting career.This is an exciting opportunity to coordinate and lead the growth and implementation of our Elite Athlete Education Network as education is given high priority in a fast changing industry and global environment.We are looking for a talented individual to develop, nurture and build key stakeholder relationships with higher education institutions (Universities, TAFE providers, Sporting colleges) and short course education providers. You bring a solid understanding of opportunities which exist in today’s modern learning and education environments and have a tenacious focus on improving systems, service and engagement to ultimately provide best support for athletes. You bring an understanding of how collaboration and technology can work hand in hand to enhance and support learning and program/project delivery and are a person who readily identifies new projects, trends or ways of doing things better to help us drive quality service and business outcomesIf this role sounds like you, please note our ideal candidate will bring:Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in education, modern learning and development, sport management or project management.Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.Demonstrated success engaging with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to identify trends and opportunities to achieve outcomes.Demonstrated experience in managing and delivering projects with high level organisation, planning and attention to detail.Strong understanding of the demands on athletes in a high performance sporting environment will be highly regarded.
