The Australian Sports Commission (ASC) plays a central leadership role in the development and operations of the Australian sport sector and acts as the leading sports agency in Australia, building collaboration, alignment and effectiveness within the Australian sport sector.The People and Culture branch supports the ASC’s strategic business goals by delivering a diverse range of functions in engagement and culture; organisational development; and human resources. These include culture and change management, workforce planning, talent management, staff development, recruitment, employment relations, payroll and health and safety services.The position of Adviser (Workplace Services) will be responsible for developing and improving the ASC’s human resources policies and practices, particularly the employee relations components. This includes enhancing the ASC’s workplace practices using evidence-based approaches and drawing on industry best practice in support of driving a more efficient organisation and building a strong workforce culture.As the Adviser (Workplace Services), you will have:Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in Human Resources Management, Law, Employee Relations, Governance, or a relevant related field.Demonstrated experience developing and interpreting policy within an HR environment.Demonstrated understanding of legal/ policy frameworks that relate to employment conditions, work health and safety, payroll and other human resources related matters.Proven experience operating in a complex HR environment, including direct engagement with employees and their representatives around employment arrangements.Demonstrated capacity to provide timely, compelling and concise advice to inform executive members and senior management to support decision making.End-to-end experience in an Enterprise Bargaining process is essential.
